London 2017 womenWe had our first encounter with Murielle Ahoure and Marie-Josee Ta Lou at the IAAF World Championships Beijing 2015 after the duo had exited the women’s 100m at the semi finals stage:

After exiting the women’s 100m at the semi finals stage at the IAAF World Championships Beijing 2015, Ivory Coast’s Murielle Ahoure has turned on the style in 2017. The 29-year-old is enjoying a resurgence in form in 2017 having failed to make the final in Rio, suggesting that she could contend for a medal. Murielle Ahoure, who is currently ranked third in the world with 10.83, was the silver medallist in Moscow four years ago.

But compatriot Marie-Josee Ta Lou could perhaps be Ivory Coast’s best bet for a podium place. She finished just outside of the medals in the 100m and 200m at last year’s Olympic Games and has recorded times of 10.90, her second-best ever, for 100m and a national record of 22.16 for 200m.

The form guide suggests, Murielle will have to run faster than her life time best 10.78s to medal in London 2017. Her foes include the double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson, who is yet to taste defeat in the 100m this season; Dafne Schippers, Tori Bowie, Michelle-Lee Ahye.

Below are the fastest time in 2017:
