Ghana’s Joseph Paul Amoah suffered an early exit in the 100m heats at the ongoing IAAF World Championships after placing 6th in heat 3 with a time of 10.36s.

Watch his interview with Liquid Sports Ghana at the end of the race.

Amoah, a 4th place finisher in the African Games (AG) 100m final, came out of the blocks much quicker and aggressive than he had done previously at the AG but he struggled to get into his stride in the last 50m.
Amoah had gone into the race as the best Ghanaian sprinter, having clocked a national record 20.08(NR) and the fastest 100m time by a Ghanaian of 10.01s in the last decade.
