Ghana’s women’s 4x100m relay team came 6th in heat 1 of the women’s 4x100m relay in season best 43.68(SB) at the IAAF World Championships London 2017.

The quartet made up of Flings Owusu-Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Akua Obeng-Akrofi and Janet Amponsah placed 10th overall and were two spots off qualification for the final.

The team, who last clocked a national record 42.67(NR) to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics, had not raced together this season prior to their participation in London 2017.
