Liquid Special on Ghana’s Janet Amponsah ahead of her 200m event today


Ahead of her 200m heat tonight at the IAAF World Championships London 2017, Liquid Sports Ghana profiles Janet Amponsah and analysis on her race.

The Middle Tennessee State University student is drawn in heat 5 alongside Great Britain’s Diana Asher, Trinidad and Tobago’s Ahye and Canada’s Crystal Emmanuel, athletes who have all run better times than her this season.

She recorded 23.10s to qualify for London before running a new life time best 22.90s at the peak of the NCAA season.

Conversely, her last competition was 27 May at the NCAA East Regional Championships.
