Ghana’s men’s and women’s 4x100m relay teams have stepped up preparations towards Friday’s relay events at the ongoing IAAF World Championships Doha 2019.

The teams have been having practice sessions at the warm up track and at the Qatari Sports Club respectively.
Under the supervision of the former national athlete and now coach, Leo Myles-Mills, the sessions have involved warm up drills, baton changing and block starts.

The women’s team are ranked 9th while the men’s are ranked 13 respectively in the world ahead of the show down.
The quartet of Sean Safo Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Martin Owusu-Antwi and Joseph Paul Amoah captured the imagination of the nation after storming to a gold medal at the African Games in Morocco with splendid 38.30s.

The women’s quartet of Flings Owusu-Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Persis William-Mensah and Hor Halutie made headlines after qualifying for Doha 2019 at the Yokohama World Relays earlier in the year.
