Liquid Sports Ghana is set to hold the 4th edition of its sports mentorship programme dubbed ‘Making it Happen’ at the Mfantsipim School Assembly Hall on Saturday, 21st July in Cape Coast.

Hosted by Ghanaian sports journalist Erasmus Kwaw, celebrated national icons including para wheelchair specialist Patrick Yaw Obeng and former Columbus Crew midfielder Fifi Baiden and lecturers at the University of Cape Coast would seek to impact a positive impact on the students of Mfantsipim School by sharing their experiences with them on the day.

Organisers of the annual Liquid Sports Ghana Awards, Liquid Sports Ghana is a Ghanaian based website which aims to promote sports and use sports as a tool for development.

‘Making it Happen’ is a 2 hour programme that celebrates inspiration, educates students on the need to combine education and sports and motivating them to achieve their aims in life.

Drawing on the experiences of experienced sportsmen/women, resource persons in the media and academia, the program encourages individuals that they the power and ability to become what they want to be in life by making the right decisions and choices.

Recognising the important role education plays in person’s life, the programme encourages students to make a conscious effort to take their schooling seriously and make the most of the opportunities they have been offered in life.
Three earlier editions of the “Making it Happen” seminar were at Accra Academy on 10th March, 2016, at the Labone Senior High School on 19th May, 2016 and Presbyterian Boy’s Secondary School on 14th June, 2016. Over 2,000 students have experienced the Making it Happen seminar to date.

Liquid Sports Ghana has been promoting Ghana sports since 2012 when its website was first established and have covered some major international events including but not restricted to the African Cup of Nations, IAAF World Athletics Championships, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, CAA African Championships, and more.
