Social media has reacted to the unexpected shock loss of the University of Ghana Legon’s men’s basketball team at the ongoing 10th Africa University Sports (FASU) in Kenya.

UG’s winning streak in the basketball competition came to an end when they lost their opening game to Kenyatta University 64:65.

UG won back-to-back competitions in 2016 and 2016 respectively without losing a game.

Back-to-back champions of the FASU-Africa University Sports Games, University of Ghana, Legon male Basketball Team lost to Kenyatta University 64 – 65.

A particular post on the UG Sports Directorate Facebook page elicited encouraging words from some media users who were keen to highlight the fact this was UG’s first loss in 5 years at FASU.

For instance, Jafaru Mustapha wrote, “Hard luck guys. We go again another day,” and Nana Afua added, Go, guys. More win ahead….
